We have carried out accelerated lifetime tests on our LiFePO\u003csub\u003e4\u003c\/sub\u003e batteries and have the data to show that the operational life of these cells is double the operational life of traditional emergency lighting batteries. In addition to this, the extremely low self discharge of this chemistry dramatically reduces the power consumption under use. For example, NiCd batteries had a power consumption of 5W, where equivalent LiFePO\u003csub\u003e4\u003c\/sub\u003e batteries have an average power consumption of 1.2W.
