The bulb may be larger and heavier than the replaced bulb. Before installation it must be checked, if the luminaire and especially the holder is capable of carrying the weight of the lamp.

These SON-E HQI-E Replacement lamps will operate off the SON/MH Ballast with the ignitor removed from the circuit. They can operate off the HQL/MBFU Ballast the capacitor can be left in the circuit but it is advised to remove.
These lamps are also designed to operate direct from the mains, bypassing all the SON/HQL control gear.
