The compact device is used to expand the DALI line. The DALI-2 Expander is connected to the DALI line (DALI IN terminals) and behaves like a DALI ballast with a DALI address.
The devices connected to the output of the DALI-2 Expander (DALI OUT terminals) form a subordinate DALI line. The DALI operating devices in the sub-line are controlled broadcast via the address of the DALI-2 Expander. The DALI-2 Expander has an integrated DALI bus power supply 200mA, to supply the sub-line. In addition to expanding the number of operating devices, the Expander can also be used to increase the cable length by 300m.
The DALI-2 -HS Expander is for DIN Rail mounting.
